Booking & Payment
Enquiries may be submitted via the form on this website, by email, or via WhatsApp. Submitting an enquiry does not constitute a confirmed booking. Availability is confirmed manually by the host, and a booking is only confirmed once the host has explicitly confirmed the dates and a deposit has been received.
Payment terms - including deposit amount and due dates - are agreed at the time of booking confirmation. The host reserves the right to release dates if payment terms are not met.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation terms are confirmed in writing at the time of booking. As a general guide:
- Cancellations made more than 60 days before check-in: deposit refundable (less any bank charges).
- Cancellations 30 - 60 days before check-in: 50% of total booking amount forfeited.
- Cancellations fewer than 30 days before check-in: full booking amount forfeited unless the dates can be re-let.
We recommend travel insurance that includes holiday cancellation cover.
House Rules
- Check-in is from 14:00 to 18:00. Late check-in must be arranged in advance.
- Check-out is by 10:00. Late check-out may be possible subject to availability and must be agreed with the host.
- The property accommodates a maximum of 5 guests (4 adults + 1 child).
- No Matric Plett Rage bookings. The Rage festival venue is in Plettenberg Bay; Keurboomstrand is a quiet residential area and bookings for this period by Matric groups will not be accepted.
- No smoking inside the cottage.
- Quiet hours after 22:00 out of respect for neighbours.
- Pets must be agreed in advance with the host.
- Guests are responsible for the care of the property and its contents during their stay.
Damage & Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit may be required at the host's discretion. The property is to be left in the condition in which it was found. Any breakages or damage must be reported to the host immediately. Reasonable costs to repair or replace damaged items will be deducted from the security deposit or invoiced if the deposit is insufficient.
Liability
The host and property owner accept no liability for personal injury, loss, or damage to guests' property during the stay, unless caused by the host's negligence. Guests are responsible for their own safety and the safety of children in their party. Guests are encouraged to take out appropriate travel and personal liability insurance.
Privacy & Personal Data
Personal information provided during an enquiry or booking is used solely to manage the booking and communicate with guests. We do not share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
